Can we see Jesus, by faith, as being with us but just not being able to see Him?
Jesus has only called disciples:
John 8:
31 ...........If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
He has told His disciples:
Romans 12:
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
We are commanded to bless our enemies and told not to curse them (which would mean to not say any manner of evil to them).
If a person treats us evil we cannot return that evil with evil (or lead, knuckles or revenge).
Verse 18 could be an out in some cases but you had better check with the Lord first. He should give you some kind of scripture for that situation.
Do not take vengeance on anyone at any time. Humble yourself and pray for your enemy or anyone that has done you harm.
When the economy collapses and a person or family comes to you and says they're starving, feed them and pray with them and lead them to the Lord if they are not saved. If you do it enough times and you gather a crowd, with everyone praying and crying out to God for help you could very possibly start a real revival or at least see God do something miraculous.
I can only say that as a former soldier, bar room brawler, rebellious, prodigal son, after I was born again and became a new creation in Christ I have never had another fight or needed a gun or rifle for anything. Over 35 years.
I have been into the ghetto in the middle of the night and witnessed alone to the biggest, baddest guys you never want to hang around in the daytime. I've been surrounded and the power of God fell and I handed them salvation tracts and heard their testimonies of relationship with the Lord or rather lack thereof.
I have stayed with my son on the Mt. of Olives, in a Palestinians hotel, in the midst of the Palestinians, a place the Jews refuse to go. I've been taken by the Palestinians, after midnight, into the heart of their territory and eaten pizza with them and witnessed to them.
We weren't captured, threatened or harmed in any way. I am not special! I have chosen to obey God's Word and put Him to the test.
He ALWAYS keeps His Word. Do you believe that miracles are for today? Healing, deliverance? Trust God and obey His Word.
The bottom line is, what is your fear?
Death? Capture? A loved one being hurt? Someone taking your possessions?
Would you believe that Jesus loves your family MORE than you do and is able right now, today, to watch over them and protect them and to stop anyone from harming them in any way? That is exactly what the Bible teaches:
Romans 8:
28 And we know that ALL things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
ALL things, not many things or some things. Not things in the good, peaceful times but you're on your own if the economy collapses.
Remember this:
1 John 4:
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.
I believe in prepping. I'm a Prepper but I'm a Christian Prepper.
